There is no doubt that World War I had a severe impact on the United States as a whole. However, for individual towns, the effect was much more varied. This site seeks to explore how the Great War impacted the city of North Adams, Massachusetts as well as the North Adams Normal School. It also seeks offer a snapshot into daily life for students both prior to and during war time.
